Neighbors For Peace

Currently, our website is undergoing a complete redesign and upgrade.  Since this is all done as volunteer project, we can't tell you exactly when this effort will be complete. 

We started this website project because a group of Guilderland Neighbors decided to start their own Neighbors For Peace Group in 2006 modeled on the very successful Bethlehem Neighbors For Peace Group in Bethlehem, NY.

At the very first meeting for the Guilderland Neighbors For Peace it became very apparent that we needed a way to easily communicate between ourselves and the rest of our community.  A website was the obvious answer.  We decided to start a Community Website where members have the ability to easily contribute to the website and communicate with the rest of the group and the world.

Upon doing a little more research, we discovered that there were already a number of peace groups referring to themselves as (Town or State) Neighbors For Peace.  In fact during the year of 2006, there were several neighborhoods in New York Capital District that also started Neighbors For Peace Groups modeled after the Bethlehem Neighbors For Peace.

So we decided to expand that idea, and make this website capable of making even larger regional communities right up the "World" level. After all, our true objective is to create World Peace, Neighbor by Neighbor.
